Yes, I got to sail aboard HMS Surprise again Saturday and Sunday! It was quite fun. I even got made starboard pin rail captain for the foremast. Which really isn't as impressive as it sounds. My hands were in so much pain afterwards, though. Mostly due to bracing about every five minutes. Yay, blisters! But the best news is, I got to climb! Yes, as jibboom qualified (and eighteen) I am allowed to climb to the course yards. So I got to unfurl! And furl, but that's the least fun part. All in all, a very enjoyable weekend. I didn't take many pictures, and the ones I did were while I was aloft and they're not very artsy, but I'll probably post them on photobucket or something.


And in other news, I'm thinking of moving accounts. Mostly because I dislike my username. If I do, I'll be sure to give everyone notice and all that.

I've just went through and made a lot of my photos available as prints! So, if you ever wanted a print of one of my photos, go right ahead and get one!

I've also updated with a couple of pictures from the annual November sail! I was aboard HMS Surprise, which was absolutely brilliant. I had a great time! Can't wait to sail her again. ^^

I'm working on updating my Ten Doctors picture. It should be nice and pretty now as I'm using Illustrator. = D So far I've got One and Two done and am working on Three. The ruffles are intimidating

And I'm working on some basic vectors of the three Museum tall ships, the Star, Californian, and Surprise.

I'm also working on a vector of a fictional ship what was made up with the help of some friends: the yammer schooner. If you have ideas for making a unique-looking schooner, do let me know! We're also planning on writing a fantasy/comedy/semi-historical/adventure novel based on the yammer schooner. Involved in (what else?) the yam trade.

I've returned from my voyage on USCGC Eagle! And I must say, it was absolutely fantabulous! I climbed to the t'gallant. That's the second-highest sail for you not-nautical types. Thankfully, I appear to be unafraid of heights. And now I've had a taste I can't wait to get back in the rigging!
